Location
In the northern extremity of the Chobe
National Park, on the Namibian side of
the Chobe River, is an expanse of vast floodplains
and savannah called the Puku Flats. The area,
so called because of the rare Puku, an antelope
of similar size and stature to an Impala (and
found only in the Chobe area of Botswana),
is renowned for its large herds of buffalo
and elephant, which come to the rivers edge
to drink and graze.
